App Store & Product Copy
Most apps are downloaded based on five seconds of reading. Your title, subtitle, and first two lines of description do nearly all of the work.
What this service covers
App Store copy is a very specific format with very specific constraints, and almost nobody follows the conventions that actually produce downloads. The App Store title has a character limit and a search function: it should contain a keyword, not just a brand name. The subtitle does not repeat the title: it extends it. The description opens with the most important benefit because nobody reads beyond the fold. Screenshots need captions that explain features before anyone taps to read the full page. Most app listings are written by developers who know the product deeply but have never thought about App Store search behavior or the psychological decision process a user goes through in the eight seconds between landing on a listing and making a decision. We write App Store listings for iOS apps, Google Play listings, and digital product listings on platforms like Gumroad, Etsy Digital, and Shopify. We also write product feature copy for websites, SaaS landing pages, and browser extension listings where the same clarity problem appears in a different format.
